GS Lighting was asked by John Wheatley College to design and supply a package of energy efficient lighting in order to reduce costs. We designed a package which included energy efficient lighting, lighting controls, wired management system for ease of installation and an emergency addressable system. The package included dimmable fittings and lighting controls which regulate the lighting when there is either no presence or the natural daylight supplies a high level of lighting, thus reducing the energy costs. The wired management system allowed for reduced installation costs and reduced timescales for installation. The emergency addressable system reduces the maintenance costs.

Below you will see two images, one from the East corridor and one from the West corridor on the ground floor of John Wheatley College. As you can see, the image on the left is the image taken before GSLighting's installation and the image on the right is taken after installation.

 The difference between the two corridors is like night and day - literally. We use as standard daylight lamps which provide a light level equivalent to natural daylight, which has proven to improve the work level of individuals and reduce headaches which comes from working under poor lighting.
